Gift-givers will always have the option to ship gifts to themselves when purchasing a physical gift. This is because the purchasing is processed directly with the retailer, and we do not require that an item be shipped only to the registrant. We do provide the address as a reference only.
If you would like to redirect guests to ship to themselves there are two extra things you can do:
- The registrant's address is mandatory for the Blueprint Registry account info, but you can swap the street address for text that simply says "Please Do Not Ship to Registrant"
- We recommend introducing a statement in your welcome message as well to request gifts not be sent to you. You could use something similar to, "In the tradition of sharing memories and gifts among friends, please remember to ship presents to your home to bring with you to the celebration!"
Cash gifts will not be shipped as they are all collected and delivered through Blueprint, so gift-givers won't need to worry about shipping/handling at all.
